How to optimize your blog?

Do you want your blog to rank high in search engine like mine? Do you wanna increase your readers on your blog? So the best way to do it is to optimize your blog frequently. This blog rank quite well in some keywords such as “tech” or “technology”. Why do we optimize our blog? They actually can choose to visit our blog again and again or never come back again. Thats why we must optimized our blog for them.

1. Blog Design
The design of your blog is very important. Never use default templates. Download some very cool free wordpress templates and customize it with a unique logo or a slight color changes so that it looks different from others.

2. RSS feed
Make sure that you use blogs with RSS enabled. If you do not have it, so create it. RSS is very useful because it can bring a lot of traffic and readers to your blog.

3. RSS feed subscriptions
Let your readers to subscribe to your blog’s RSS feed through Feedburner. This is a free service that enable your visitor to receive latest updates from your blog.

4. Post frequently
The more frequently you post, the more likely Googlebot and other bots will visit on a more regular basis. If you only post once in a blue moon, expect that it might take a while for Google to stop by and see that you actually have updated again. Google loves updated fresh sites, so it make sense to feed the bot what it wants.

5.Use a Good URL Structure
Configure your URL structure professionally for SEO purpose. Most blogging platforms allow you to change from the standard numbered permalinks to this style of search engine friendly ones. Never use dynamic URL for your links. The bots can crawl your blog easily with a good URL structure. You can use mod rewrite to create a good structure.

6. Ping
When you add a new blog entry, you might want to ping site such as Technorati and FeedBurner to let them know you have a updated your blog. You can also now ping Google for faster indexing in their blog search engine at blogsearch.google.com. Automatic pinging is an option in the control panel of most blog platforms including wordpress. Ping-O-Matic offers a service that allows you to quickly pick and chose what to ping.
