AGP or PCI Express
Obviously the PCI Express is better and faster. If you want to build a PC that uses the latest technology and has a longest lifespan then consider using a PCI Express based motherboard and video adaptor. This will be a bit more expensive because of the motherboard which supports PCI Express technology. Before you go for any upgrade, you will also need to make sure that all your other expansion cards are PCI Express cards. If you are more into gaming, then you should really go for the PCI Express.
AGP video cards are the most common ones. These AGP graphic cards are the ones using the old technology. New computers doesn’t come with it anymore. Most of them uses PCI Express. I highly recommend the PCI Express for those advanced user who is more into gaming and graphic designing.

Hmm, you say ‘Obviously the PCI Express is better and faster’, but it might not be obvious to everyone, and why is it better and faster? (I know why, but just a suggestion.)
PCI Express has a larger bandwidth than normal PCI. PCI Express 32x can go up to 8GB/s for its bus speed. PCI Express is a serial based technology, therefore data can be transfer over the bus in two directions at a time. For the normal PCI, it works in parallel mode, thus only go in one direction. PCI Express does not share its bandwidth with others not like the normal PCI. Normal PCI bandwidth is so limited.
