Uninstall Trend Micro OfficeScan Without Password
Trend Micro OfficeScan is an enterprise security solution with complete anti-virus, anti-spyware and anti-rootkit. Usually the administrator will lock the corporate edition of Trend Micro Office Scan client program by assigning an uninstall password, which must be entered correctly when computer user attempt to uninstall Trend Micro OfficeScan client from the PC. If you don’t know your OfficeScan password or you wish to reset the password, below is the solution to everything.
Follow the steps below to reset Trend Micro OfficeScan password:
1. Find a file called Ofcscan.ini which normally can be found in C:\Windows, C:\WinNT, or C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\OfficeScan.
2. Open the Ofcscan.ini file using Notepad
3. Search the line with Uninstall_Pwd=
4. Change it to: Uninstall_Pwd=70
5. Save the Ofcscan.ini file.
6. Uninstall Trend Microsoft OfficeScan. When prompted for uninstall password, enter 1 as the password.
Now you are allowed to uninstall the software from your computer.

I tried this and it didnt work. I am on a windows 98 and my pc used to be a business pc. I am trying to get the trend officescan out of my computer, it has expired anyways. I have contacted trend and no reply. This antivirus is 6 yrs old and is useless. I even tried to take it out of the registry…no go. Can someone help me?
