Vista Sidebar Sucks – Reduce overall performance
Do you all know that windows vista sidebar require almost 50-60% of your RAM?
My CPU usage was freaking high when i checked from the task manager. It obviously will slow down everything on your computer. Reduce overall performance for gaming, movie editing, etc. For those who need better performance, you can consider disabling the sidebar.
My suggestion is if you want to have a smooth Vista, you need atleast 4GB ram and a fast processor. Basically this is what Vista requirement for the best performance. If you don’t have the minimum requirement, you will just overload your computer. You will experience problems like overheated, pc crashes, constant crashes, system error, frequent reboot, etc.
There is no solution for that. The only way is to disable it. The design is just like that sucks.
You want better visual in Vista ? You need more RAM !

hi
Actually it is more likely that one of the gadgets that you are using is the cause of the problem and not the actual sidebar it self.
Some of the gadgets can use lots of ram and plenty of the CPU resources.
I would suggest that you play around with different gadgets instead of blaming the actual sidebar.
