Clean up your startup list. Make a short startup list. Make sure remove unnecessary program in your startup list. You can directly disable them by running “msconfig”

Secondly, go to administrative tools under control panel then services. At there you can disable unnecessary services to prevent slow loading. If you do not know which to disable, you can simply consult with a tech guy or try google around regarding the services name.

Some services are really not important. It just slows down your boot up time and use up your system resources. Tweak your Windows XP wisely.
