Removing ‘nofollow’ from WordPress to encourage people write comment

Why do i disable ‘nofollow‘ attribute? Am i not afraid of losing my high page rank? Dont afraid of blog spammers?

First of all, i dont afraid of the pr reduction on my blog. For your information, the page rank doesnt mean anything to me. It is just a rank for your homepage. It wont help you in anything. The best thing in seo is quality of content. It help you to boost your rankings. I support “dofollow” because i want to encourage more people to write comment and give suggestion on my post. I dont mind sharing or losing my page rank to those who contribute on my blog.

How do i remove the “nofollow” attribute from my wordpress blog?

First, you need to upload this file called my-hacks.php which contain the following code to your wordpress primary directory:

(copy and paste it into notepad and save it as my-hacks.php)

After that login into your wordpress site admin and go to Options->Miscellaneous

Then you tick on “Use legacy my-hacks.php file support”

Thats all. Now ‘nofollow’ will be removed under all your blog’s comment.

This is good information for how to remove nofollow by using the actual code. I removed nofollow from comments last June, and so far it has worked out pretty well. As long as you can filter out the automated comment spam, the overall effect of DoFollow seems to be positive.

I used a similar plugin from seopedia.org. It’s got to be about time WP looked into integrating one of these plugins so you can just easily turn it on or off in the options.
